Bovine Serum and Donor Bovine serum is serum collected from adult cows older than 12 months of age. The difference between Fetal Bovine serum and Newborn Bovine serum is that Bovine serum has a higher content of immunoglobulins. All serum is sterile and tested for viruses (such as Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD), cytopathogenic agents and Hemadsorbing agents), Fungi, Bacteria, Mycoplasma, endotoxin levels, haemoglobin levels and osmolality.
If needed, Bodinco can supply (Donor) Bovine serum with special treatments:
- Gamma Irradiated
- Heat Inactivated
